Today has been an interesting day and a very intense day for Americans who are all over the world in countries, mostly Muslim, where there are numerous riots and attacks alledgedly because of a film about Muhammad.

Middle East (MNN/SAT7) ? Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood has called for a nationwide peaceful demonstration today to condemn insults to Prophet Mohammad from an amateurish film.

It's hard to believe that it's that time of year again, but it is. We're two months out from observing the 2012 International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, which will take place this year on November 11th.

In our recent Be-A-Voice-Network prayer alert we sent out to our network, we shared some prayer requests and a praise report about the pastor of the church in Kenya. Kenya is not considered a Restricted Nation yet, but many are watching the levels of persecution there. Please pray for the protection of the saints in Kenya. Here's part of the alert we sent out.

Unidentified workers, backed by police and civil volunteers, tore down the Holy Trinity Pentecostal Church in east Moscow in the early morning hours of Sept. 6, then accused the pastor of holding an unapproved meeting for the worship service he led on the grounds of the destroyed church two days later. The workers came at midnight with bulldozers and diggers, looting the building of sound equipment, musical instruments, service books and Communion materials before using heavy equipment to demolish the structure. A church caretaker was taken to the police station and prevented from contacting church members for three hours.

Burma (MNN) ? Burma doesn't seem to have made as many advances as it first appeared in a year of change.

It's that time of year again, when parents are sending their children back to school. Today is the eleventh anniversary of September 11, 2001 and here at the Persecution Blog I can't help but think of the thousands of victims of Christian persecution who have lost their lives because of Islamic Muslim terrorists who have killed them.
