Imagine an 8-year-old girl in rural Pakistan shivering in the chill fall air. She stands near a fire outside her family’s shack, seeking warmth from the small, almost insignificant flames. Her brother and sister stand nearby, as they all wonder how they’ll survive the cold months ahead.
