Earlier this week our friends at Mission Network News published the following story that includes The Voice of the Martyrs very own Todd Nettleton. Please pray for those working at Mission Network News and also for those in India being persecuted, and the families left behind.

Voice of the Martyrs-Canada sources say a Muslim mob burned down the Indonesia Evangelical Mission Church building in the Singkil area of Aceh six nights ago. Word of a planned revival meeting spread amongst the radical Muslims in the community. The church is now meeting for worship in a local home. Earlier this year, the Indonesian province of Aceh became the first to institute and enforce Shariah law. Pray that the believers of this church will be steadfast in their service for the Lord.

Since I just spent a whole day in a crowded room with about 1000 miserable looking people, I thought I'd share with you this conversation that I had with a juror who was sitting at a table reading her bible.

King Astyages raged at him. “You have perverted my own brother, my wife, and some of my children! You have disturbed the worship of our gods! The priests of Ashtaroth cry for your blood! If you do not stop preaching this Jesus and sacrifice to our gods, you shall die a most painful death!”

One of my coworkers recently shared some information he learned from book Jasper Beckett wrote about North Korea. On August 10, 1945, a few U.S. colonels were given 30 minutes to decide the Korean border after the peninsula was taken from Japan. They decided on the 38th parallel, and the Soviets agreed. This border remained until the end of the Korean War, when a new demarcation line was drawn in 1950.
