Great news comes to us today from The Voice of the Martyrs Canada as they are reporting that a well-known Eritrean Christian Gospel Singer, Helen Berhane has been released from prison!

Last Sunday as I was leaving my church I shared with my pastor that I had a few extra magazines from The Voice of the Martyrs. These were left over from the GodBlogCon....anyway, as I was telling my pastor about the magazines and offering to him for our church he got really excited because he said that our church is planning on observing the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church on November 12th! I can't tell you how happy I was to hear that my church is going to be involved in this extremely important event. And so I was wondering...

Last weekend I attended the GodBlogCon and while I was there I met a woman who was giving out CD's of Pastor Chuck Obremski's sermons. The cool thing was I had just heard about Pastor Chuck only two days prior when I attended the Mayor's prayer breakfast in the city I live in, and the speaker, Angel's player Tim Salmon shared his testimony and about this guy named Chuck who had impacted his life.

A team from The Voice of the Martyrs recently spent some time in Romania, the home country of our founder, Pastor Richard Wurmbrand. This team was in Romania at a unique time; Romania’s television station was in the middle of hosting a contest to determine Romania’s top personalities through an opinion vote. Early in the voting, people were surprised to find the name “Richard Wurmbrand” in the top ten positions. On our team’s second day in the country, Pastor Wurmbrand occupied the number four slot.
