Today the International Concern Website has an update on a doctor who was persecuted for his Christian faith.

We know that Christians are being persecuted worldwide, but the sad reality is that the media rarely reports on the persecution of Christians and the enormity of the problem. Thankfully, there are other organizations that do keep track, as The Voice of the Martyrs does, and one such institute is The Middle East Media Research Institute.

On Nov. 5, The Voice of the Martyrs Canada reported 36-year-old Teklesenbet Gebreab Kiflom, a member of the Full Gospel Church died recently of malaria. Teklesenbet was detained for nearly a year at the Wi’a Military Confinement Centre in Eritrea.

Over the weekend Ethan Cole who writes at The Christian Post shared about how Pope Benedict XVI met with both Muslim and Catholic leaders to discuss the problem of persecution.
