Christian Missionary Receives Gift Bag with a Bomb

Have you ever had an experience where you received a package  and when you suspected it could be dangerous because of who sent it to you, that  you were afraid to open it.  Well, I have.

A number of years ago my husband and I received a package from someone who had been threatening to destroy our marriage.  We had received counsel to have a restraining order placed against this person and so when this package arrived at our home, we were both extremely suspicious of the contents.  I remember my husband taking the package outside and telling me to stay far away as he opened it.  Thankfully, the contents of the package were not a bomb, but we had our suspicions.

So as I read this story today at WorldNetDaily  I couldn't help but think of that experience I had years ago.  Unfortunately, in this case, there was a bomb and it did explode.

Christian missionary Gary Stevenson thought the pink, gift-wrapped bag he found on his doorstep was a present left for one of his toddler daughters, but when he brought it inside his home, the bomb within the bag exploded.

Stevenson suffered multiple lacerations and burns, deep cuts on his head and chest, and underwent surgery to remove shrapnel from his liver. But he is expected to make a full recovery.
