I went to prison last week. I wasn’t just visiting; I stayed for a whole week. The prison is on an island, and the whole island is the prison. But it’s no small island prison like Alcatraz. No, this island is about 750 miles from tip to tip. Prisoners are able to move around the island. But what they aren’t allowed to do is leave. So where is this island prison? You may have heard of it—it’s name is Cuba.

I have to tell you all that my heart leapt for joy when I read the responses to my post on picking a restricted nation to pray for this year. As you know, I'm starting the year praying for Libya. But what is even more cool is the countries you all said you were going to pray for. And don't worry, if you haven't yet picked a nation, you can do that today.

Many religious communities in Azerbaijan and Tajikistan have not yet re-registered with government authorities as required by laws passed in both countries in 2009, according to Forum 18 News.
