Compass Direct, one of the leading sources of religious persecution on the internet, is reporting that the Eritrean government has stripped the authority of the orthodox church.

The news of Pastor Yuan's death continues to make the news. Today Asia News is reporting on his funeral.

This past Sunday, August 21st a Muslim mob invaded a church in Bandung, Indonesia and demanded that the church stop all of their activities and close their doors.

If you've been reading persecution blog for awhile then you're very familar with the three Indonesian women who were arrested recently for teaching children the Bible during a "Happy Week".

This is a great good news story that is on the Asia News website today. The title is Gus Dur: “No more attacks against Christians" In part the article reads,

Last week Compass Direct reported on imprisoned Pastor The Rev. Nguyen Hong Quang who was imprisoned in Vietnam because he dared to confront two plainclothes policemen who had harassed some of the workers and were staking out his home and church a few months earlier.

Friday I mentioned that there was a DC Rally to protest the repatriation of North Koreans. So far today all I can find on this story is what Agape Press reported in a blurb. I find it interesting the press has not covered this story.

The Christian Post, one of my favorite websites, is reporting today that over the weekend there will be a protest in Washington DC about the repatriation of North Korean refugees.
