The Iraqi Election & Religious Freedom

Today The Baptist Press News has a very interesting article on the recent election in Iraq, and it touches on the issue of religious freedom. This is an interview with a former Whitehouse staffer named Daniel Heimbach who now write books on morality and sexuality, as well as teaches at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Indonesian Church Seriously Damaged by Fire

In VOM Canada's weekly Persecution & Prayer Alert we are told that there was an Indonesian Church Seriously Damaged by Fire on December 8th. The good news is that there were no human injuries, the bad news is there was extensive damage to the church building.

Sad news today coming from BosNewsLife's team of reporters. Apparently there are three Christians who have been wrongly convicted of violence who are now facing the potential of execution by firing squad in the country of Indonesia.

According to Janet Parshall's America's website, VOM Director of News Services, Todd Nettleton, will appear on Janet's show to discuss his reaction about three Indonesian women recently sent to prison for the "Christianization" of Muslim children that have lost their appeal, among other developments from that region.
