Today as I read this report from the Mission News Network on Talking Bibles International the scripture that came to mind was Romans 10:17, "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

The Voice of the Martyrs has updated their website with a new article called Celebrating Christ’s Birth: A Time of Joy…A Time of Suffering that discusses the recent persecution that happened during the Christmas season in various regions of the world.

Yesterday Navy Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt won the victory he has been fasting for over the last 18 days. The Navy has agreed to let him pray in uniform in the awesome and precious name of Jesus Christ. I would like to commend Chaplain Klingenschmitt for his courageous stand. He now joins with the great saints of old Peter and John who also did not waver when they were told not to pray in Jesus' name. (Photo courtesy of Leo Shane III / S&S )

I love to see soldiers praying don't you? This picture is classic, and it I love it because it reminds me that their are Chaplain's in the military who serve these precious soldiers. The question still remaining however, is will President Bush step up and defend the chaplain's right to pray in the name of Jesus?
