Yesterday I reported that one of the 23 Korean hostages of the Taliban was found murdered. Today news reports are saying that the Taliban is "negotiating" over the release of the other 22 captives. I question how serious this "negotiation" is because according to the Guardian Unlimited website the demands are unclear.

This morning as I thought about you who read this blog and also the many brothers and sisters we have worldwide who are suffering for their faith in Christ Jesus, I wanted to remind you of a passage of scripture that speaks to the church who is persecuted for Jesus.

In another interesting twist to this story about the Korean hostages, english.chosun.com and The Christian Post are both reporting that their is anti-Christian sentiment being spewed on the Internet.

The Christian Post has released the identity of the Korean victim who was murdered by the Taliban, as 42-year-old pastor Bae Hyung-kyu, who led the team of Korean volunteers on a humanitarian aid mission to Afghanistan.

Yesterday I shared with you about 23 Korean hostages that were taken by the Taliban. Today, the VOM Canada prayer email alert shared that one of the hostages has been killed. Please keep this situation in your prayers.

The Times Online and our friends at Mission Network News are covering the story of at least 23 Korean Christians who were recently kidnapped by the Taliban in Afghanistan.

BosNewsLife is reporting that another Christian pastor has been beheaded in India. I'm not sure about you, but I get sick of these stories and even more so, I get sick and tired of reading the stats on this blog because people are constantly looking for pictures of people who have been beheaded. That's just amazing to me.

I would rather be hung than betray my Lord.
