A few years ago my husband has this very strange dream about Myanmar. At the time I had never heard of this place, and didn't even know if it was real. But my husband seemed to know it was a real place, also known as Burma, and he felt totally burdened to pray for that land as a result of this dream.

The picture that you are looking at is the martyr that we mentioned in the previous post. This is Necadi Aydin who was slaughtered in Turkey earlier this year. What you may not know is that Necadi converted to Christianity from Islam and as a result had to leave his entire family in order to pursue Christ. The following is a letter he wrote to his Muslim family regarding his decision to follow Jesus. As you read this, please pray that his family would come to see that Jesus is the Christ and that Allah is a false god they are serving. Pray for their salvation and that as they remember him that they will someday be reunited with him in the presence of Christ.

Yesterday I read this story from Compass Direct and it really touched my heart. I wanted to alert you to a real example of the suffering that continues after a faithful Christian is martyred for their faith in Christ.

This morning as I've been reading some of the leading news on Christian persecution I am reminded again how different religious freedom is here in America. To my knowledge I do not know any Christians who have been forced to move from their home because they are Christians. Yet in Iraq, Christians are being forced to leave their homes because they are being threatened by militant Muslims who are telling them to convert to Islam or die.

The Macomb Daily is reporting that fliers put on cars say, ... "Kill Jews and Christians if they don't believe in Allah and Mohammad."
