What would you do if you became a Christian in Malaysia and you were required to say you were a Muslim?

Today I came across this very interesting article that I wanted to share with you because it raised a few things in my mind. The article is titled New Convert Wants to Stay and it's about a Muslim who became a Christian who does not want to go back to Cairo because if he does he will be persecuted for being a Christian.

The prayers of the faithful availeth much. Today I am extremely excited and happy to announce that one of the persecuted prisoners we have been praying for and writing letters on his behalf through VOM's Prisoner Alert, has been released after spending two years in a labor camp.

Cal Thomas has a very interesting column today that I wanted to share with you. The title is Bush appointee has tough sell and in it Thomas discusses the problem with how America is perceived in the Islamic world and how we need to see the religion of Islam. Should we believe it's a religion of peace, or a terrorist filled religion. These are thoughtful questions that I think are worthy of reflection especially when Christians are being persecuted for their faith in Christ by Muslims.

Over the weekend there was a lot of news about 9/11 and also about some of the memorials that are being made for the victims. However, did you know there is a stirring controversy over the memorial that is being made for the victims of Flight 93?

Sometimes I read an article and it amazes me how much I disagree with it. Here is one such example, that basically denies why people are really persecuted. Here we have a priest totally minimizing what "extremists" do with their religion.
