Last week we asked you all to pray for the Coptic Christians in Egypt because of the elections that were taking place. Now the new president elect, Mohamed Morsi, has given his acceptance speech, and made promises to the Christians. Mission Network News has more details.

Egypt (MNN) ? Protesters are already in Tahrir Square in Cairo, Egypt. Egypt's Presidential Election Commission announced yesterday they are delaying the results of this week's presidential election indefinitely. The commission says they're investigating election irregularities. Egyptians are in Tahrir Square demanding the results be released.

Iran (MNN) ? Last week, June 10, Christian brother Mehdi "Petros" Foroutan was released from prison in Iran reports Voice of the Martyrs, Canada.

Laos (MNN) ? A brother and sister in Laos were recently expelled from their homes because of their faith in Christ, reports Voice of the Martyrs, Canada.

Nigerians were reeling from news that there were likely no survivors from a plane crash in Lagos, when news about a suicide bomber striking Bauchi hit. Carl Moeller with Open Doors USA explains, "Swallowed under the news of the plane crash was the news that there was another suicide bomber at a church in Northern Nigeria, in Bauchi. Apparently, at least 10 others were killed and 30 injured in that attack."

Syria (MNN) ? Western nations including Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United States announced the expulsions of Syrian diplomats after a massacre in that country over the weekend. The coordinated attacks left more than 100 dead; a little over 30 of them were children. French and Australian leaders called President Assad a murderer and vowed to hold accountable those who were responsible for the atrocities.
