Last week our friends at China Aid released a press release concerning Pastor Wang Dao who was recently interrogated and then released pending a trial. Why was Pastor Dao arrested in the first place - he was leading worship. Please pray for Pastor Dao as he awaits trial, that he would stand firm in his faith.

HENAN — On July 21, 2010, Weidu District Court of Xuchang Municipality of Henan province ruled in the trial of first instance on the administrative lawsuit in which the Christians Gao Jianli and Liu Yunhua sued Shangqiu Municipal Committee. The court upheld the administrative decision sentencing the two plaintiffs to one year in re-education through labor.Gao Jianli and Liu Yunhua were sentenced to re-education through labor for organizing a house church that is different in organization and doctrine from the government-approved Three-Self Church, and for not yielding to the local police’s demands for bribery. According to an unpublicized secret document from the Ministry of Public Security, the Full Scope Church they organized is a cult. They claim the church was harmful to society because church members cry and weep during prayers, and because they founded a Sunday school for their children.

China Aid has released new information on our brother Pastor "Bike" and his wife. As many of you may recall Pastor Bike has been under much persecution from the Chinese government because of his faith in Christ and his ministry. Please add him and his family to your prayer lists and pray for him often.

Our good friends at China Aid are carrying a story from Radio Free Asia about the recent attacks on Christians who were arrested, beaten and then released for their testimony for Christ. Just as we have read in the Scriptures, Christians were imprisoned then and beaten. You may recall these passages from the bible.

China Aid is reporting on the recent arrest of house church members, including a four year old boy that was also taken from the church during a worship service. Mercifully, the boy and the mother were released, as were some of the other house church members. However, the police have requested a lot of money from the church members in order to help get the others released. And God has been faithful and helped this church.

GUANGDONG--On the morning of May 2, Guangzhou Public Security officials forced Liangren House Church’s landlord to terminate the church’s rent, sealing and locking the doors with an iron chain. Guards blocked the congregation from entering the facility, forcing them to worship outdoors on Sunday morning. In order to save another landlord from being harassed by the PSB, the church plans to move next week’s worship service outdoors to Guangzhou People’s Park.
