Today I really want to share with you one of the greatest things The Voice of the Martyrs Canada is doing. They have added a monthly video report of persecution news that they are following, and it's excellent!

Christian Today has a very powerful article today concerning the extent of persecution in the nation of Columbia. The article states that in Columbia there have been numerous pastors targeted for assassination, kidnappings, violent attacks during worship services including murders, death threats made against Christian youth and their families, as well as extortion in the Christian community.

Persecution against Christians in Iraq has been increasing reports Carl Moeller of the ministry Open Doors. According to an article written by Allie Martin of Agape Press, several believers have been abused and kidnapped, while a number of churches have been bombed or fired upon in recent days.

According to an article written on this website Dr. Tawfik Hamid, an Egyptian physician, Islamic scholar and former extremist Says Ayman al-Zawahri (al-Qaida's #2 man) announced last month that Americans must chose: Convert to Islam or continue to receive acts of terror.

A few weeks ago I mentioned that Indonesia was one of the countries that I have on my permanent prayer list. This week I want to ask you all to join me in keeping Indonesia in your prayers, especially as attacks on Christians intensify.

Every week I have the most excellent privilege of reading the posts that are entered in to the carnivals every Friday. This week is no exception. Thank you all for participating and raising awareness on your blogs. The reason this is so important is because with the exception of television media like The 700 Club, who did mention some of the work of The Voice of the Marytrs this week, most mainstream media outlets fail to report about Christian persecution around the world. Thank you for being the voice for millions who suffer for their faith in our precious Lord Jesus Christ.
