Have you heard about the pastor that survived a murder attempt? This is amazing. Voice of the Martyrs Canada has sent this out in this weeks requests for prayer.

We at VOM persecution blog would like to thank Sherry Grunder for writing a very nice story in the online newspaper Morning Sentinel. Sherry's article is titled Christian Converts Are Worldwide Victims. She writes the following:

I love to watch how the medium of film and media can impact people for Christ and today's excerpt from the book Extreme Devotion is a wonderful example of that happening in Pakistan. I hope it encourages you as we begin the week.

The following prayer request comes from this week's prayer requests from VOM Canada. As I thought about this request, I was reminded of the recent church fires here in America. Fortunately, the young men who set those fires were caught, and the members of those churches are now living in peace again. This isn't true in Pakistan where the persecution from radical Muslims is rampant. Please pray for our fellow family in Christ, that they would stand firm.

As I read through this Extreme Devotion this morning, I wanted to share it with you in preparation for our prayer requests, which I will post next, and also let you know that this line really made me think - "Those who persecute Christians cannot be accused of apathy." Great question isn't it? Are you apathetic about your relationship with Jesus? How about reading the Bible or praying, or serving Him passionately? Join me in asking the Lord for a renewed passion and love for Him and His word, because after all, Christians are the only ones who follow a Living, Risen Savior and Lord!

We recently received a report from one of our workers who had returned from Asia. Our contact and her group were able to deliver 1300 Bibles into four restricted nations.
