Today I was thinking about how hard the issue of persecution is to deal with on a continual basis and it occurred to me that we need to keep those who are involved in this battle daily in prayer.

Voice of the Martyrs is being talked about around the blogosphere. Here are a few entries I found you will want to read.

Have you ever thought about doing hard time for God? I was thinking about that today as I read through the news on persecution. Then I thought about the followers of Christ we read about in the Scripture. Paul, Peter, James, John, Stephen, and all the others who were imprisoned and jailed for simply testifying that they believe that Jesus is God and that He died for our sins, was buried and then rose to life on the third day!

I want to let you all know that our challenge to write letters through the VOM Prisoner Alert is going strong. Let's keep writing and hit that 1000 letter mark!

Last week I issued a challenge to you to write letters to the persecuted prisioners using VOM's very cool Prisoner Alert program. On Friday we ended with 325 letters written. Today we are up to 393!

I want to thank those of you who have written to the prisoners so far. Yesterday we started around 286 on the Prisoner Alert page and now the number is 325! That's very good and encouraging, and I know these precious sisters will be encouraged too.
