Is Your Bible Valuable?

I think I may have shared this before, but when I first received Christ as Lord & Savior, I was in need of a bible. So I asked my parents if they had one, and they didn't. So then I asked if they would get me one...and about a year later my mother finally got me a bible and gave it to me as a gift. While I was waiting for my parents to decide to actually get me a bible, my friend Gail who shared the gospel with me, asked her grandmother if I could use one of their bibles temporarily. Thankfully she said yes...and my life has never been the same.

Sophie: A Spiritual Encourager with Skin On

The following devotion is taken from the book Extreme Devotion. As I read through this devotion tonight, I was reminded of something I often tell people when I am feeling like I need Jesus close to me. I tell them, "Sometimes God has your face." If you've ever struggled with doubt or despair, and wandered through a valley of tears, then I think this devotion will touch your heart.

Only 22 and On A Mission for Bibles

The following devotion is taken from the devotional book Extreme Devotion, and it is a wonderful testimony. As I read these words I was reminded of the passion I had as a new believer. I received Christ as Lord & Savior in my freshman year of high school and remember longing for the Word of God and owning my own bible. You may find this hard to believe but my parents didn't own a bible and for a number of months would not allow me to have one. After many days and weeks my friend Gail, who shared Christ with me, was able to "smuggle" me a bible and give it to me at school in the library. I remember devouring the words and taking every minute I could to memorize and share the words with everyone around me. So I can only begin to imagine what these dear saints feel when they receive their bibles through the work and love of this 22 year old saint. Read on and be encouraged.
