Ramsey Tripp has been involved in making short films that help thousands of churches pray for our persecuted family each November on the International Day of Pray for the Persecuted Church.

We asked on the VOM Facebook Page for people to share creative ways their church honored persecuted Christians on the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Many churches marked this day last Sunday, November 2. Many more will do so this coming Sunday, November 9.

Many churches around the world honored our persecuted brothers and sisters yesterday on the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP). It's not too late to make sure that your church will "Remember those in bonds..." (Heb. 13:3) this Sunday on the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP).

A trip to the Middle East is not needed to learn that untold numbers of people are suffering in these ancient lands. Multiple media outlets are sharing unimaginable stories riddled with pain and affliction. Followers of Jesus Christ, once known as the 'sect of the Nazarene,' are being relentlessly pursued by radical Islamic factions. They are being kidnapped, tortured, raped, and forced to flee their homes and the birthplace of Christianity. A genocidal fire fueled by fierce evil is scorching the Middle East, and leaving in its wake death and destruction.

Liena and her family turned down offers of asylum in Western countries after civil war broke out in Syria. They knew the cost that they might be required to pay, but they chose to remain as witnesses to their Muslim neighbors and as an encouragement to other Christians in Syria. Liena was a dedicated Christian, faithful wife and mother of two. In her prayers, she asked God to use her to reach more people. And then God asked her to make one more commitment.

A new web site is live this week in conjunction with the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP), which churches around the world will commemorate this Sunday, November 3.

While most US churches will “Remember those in bonds” (Heb. 13:3) during the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP) in November, First Wesleyan Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma chose October 20 for their commemoration. The church’s pastor invited VOM’s Todd Nettleton—a member of the church—to bring the message in the morning services.
