One of the areas of faith that is coming under attack more and more here in America is the simple act of praying in the name of Jesus. In recent months there have been numerous stories about city councils in various parts of the country that have been under attack from atheistic foundations and individuals suing the councils for praying in the name of Jesus. Today I wanted to share with you the latest story in which a judge is saying that sectarian prayers should be banned.

In honor of the upcoming International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church that is taking place this Sunday, November 8th, in churches all over the world I wanted to remind you of our great resource page, that has information for this year (it is still not too late) and then I also wanted to encourage you with another article on prayer.

Last night Glenn Penner's wife, Denita, updated their blog about Glenn's health. She thanks everyone for their prayers, and goes on to write that Glenn will have some x-rays today and also that the doctors will be giving Glenn antibiotics intravenously. If they can get some home care to take care of Glenn and do this at their home, he will be home hopefully by the end of the week.

Our friend Todd Nettleton shared on Facebook today that this years International Day of Prayer will be held November 8th this year.
