One of the things that I am constantly reminded of is Christians in other nations who persevere under violent persecution. Matthew 5:10 says, "Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. I wonder if these Christians remember this promise when they are being attacked and injured, as in the case with some Christians in Vietnam who were recently violently forced by the police to leave their homes!

Christian persecution has increased in recent days, in Sri Lanka, as a new law that would ban "forcible" conversions is being considered by the Parliament in Sri Lanka.

We recently received a report on a brave evangelist in India. This man oversees 12 pastors and has won more than 700 people to Christ. His leadership has infuriated some Hindus. A few months ago, they launched an attack on this brother with a hidden agenda to scare off other evangelists. The attack took place in broad daylight, and a local news station was present. They filmed video footage of the attack, and VOM was given a copy of this footage.

Earlier today I was listening to Rush Limbaugh and he was talking about the new movie United 93 that is opening this week in theaters. He shared how the movie definitely shows the terrorists the way they really are, you know, as Muslim terrorists. Guys who wanted to kill Americans, destroy the Whitehouse etc.

I received the following from VOM Media today. As I read this article of the persecution of saints in Indonesia, I can't help but remember the three ladies who are currently serving time in prison for simply teaching Sunday school. This story is just as sad. Please remember the Indonesian saints in your daily prayers. They are in need of comfort, and strength.

Sources from Voice of the Marytrs are reporting that five Christians were wounded by a bomb blast that completely destroyed their church the night before Easter Sunday. The explosion was triggered by Muslims, who threw the bomb at Emmanuel Church while more than 100 congregants were worshipping.

If you've been reading this blog for any length of time, then you know rampant Christian persecution is common all over the world. In Vietnam, last year eleven homes of Christian families were torn down near the Chinese border in Vietnam.
