We recently received a report on a brave evangelist in India. This man oversees 12 pastors and has won more than 700 people to Christ. His leadership has infuriated some Hindus. A few months ago, they launched an attack on this brother with a hidden agenda to scare off other evangelists. The attack took place in broad daylight, and a local news station was present. They filmed video footage of the attack, and VOM was given a copy of this footage.

This morning I sat down with The Voice of the Martyr's Canada's very own Communications Director, and outstanding author, Glenn Penner. Glenn has an immense knowledge of Christian persecution all over the world, and has penned the brilliant book titled In the Shadow of the Cross: A Biblical Theology of Persecution & Discipleship.

Bradley Hope, staff reporter for The New York Sun has written an article titled Coptic Christians Ask America To Withhold Funding From Egypt.

Allie Martin of Agape Press has written a good article titled Martyrs' Children Suffer as Indonesia's Anti-Christian Persecution Escalates.

Earlier today I was listening to Rush Limbaugh and he was talking about the new movie United 93 that is opening this week in theaters. He shared how the movie definitely shows the terrorists the way they really are, you know, as Muslim terrorists. Guys who wanted to kill Americans, destroy the Whitehouse etc.

Are you a thinker? I'm asking because after reading todays Extreme Devotion, I was thinking about how often I tend not to think about God in my reaction to persecution. The story below amazes me. The spiritual maturity of some of the saints of God who are being persecuted brutally never ceases to amaze me. I know my heart is not even remotely pure, and I wonder how much more I would see God the way this sister in Christ did when she was being persecuted so horribly. I think this devotion is a great example of taking the word of God literally, and not only saying I believe in God, but really truly acting in that belief. As I read this article of the persecution of saints in Indonesia, I can't help but remember the three ladies who are currently serving time in prison for simply teaching Sunday school. This story is just as sad. Please remember the Indonesian saints in your daily prayers. They are in need of comfort, and strength.

Sources from Voice of the Marytrs are reporting that five Christians were wounded by a bomb blast that completely destroyed their church the night before Easter Sunday. The explosion was triggered by Muslims, who threw the bomb at Emmanuel Church while more than 100 congregants were worshipping.
