Two South Korean Hostages Released
I would like to publicly thank Michelle Malkin, a wonderful journalist, for continuing to follow the story of the South Korean Christian Hostages. Read her latest post about the breaking news that two of the hostages have been freed.
Many other news agencies, including the Christian Broadcasting Network, are also covering this story today. CBNNEWS.com is reporting, in part,
"Two of the women in the group of 23 South Korean Christian missionaries kidnapped by the Taliban more than three weeks ago, were released Monday by the side of a rural Afghan road located south of Kabul.
The release of two of the remaining 21 hostages was the first breakthrough in the standoff which began on July 19. Two of the male captives were later executed."
Here are a few details so that you can continue to pray for our brothers and sisters who are still in captivity.
- Pray for the two women who were released, as they are both ill.
- Please continue to pray for the remaining captives. For their spiritual, mental and physical health, endurance and witness for Jesus Christ.
- Pray for all involved in the negotiations with the Taliban.
