Song for the Sudan

Do you believe in Divine appointments?  I sure do, and I have to tell all of you what happened this weekend.  My husband and I traveled about 3 hours from home to visit some friends I had only met once - at our wedding.  We spent a few hours with them and I was so blessed by their love for Christ Jesus that I had to share with all of you this wonderful song they have written for the suffering in the Sudan.

So ladies and gentlemen, I want to introduce you to Marne Kelley who not only loves the Lord with all of her heart, but loves worship and music.  She has written numerous songs and composed 7 CD's full of music that is just anointed.

Her song called Song for the Sudan can be heard in part here.  I am going to see if we can't get the whole song up here soon.  In the meantime check out the words.  They are powerful.

There's blood on the streets, gunmen who seek, to take the people from their land, ravage the poor, pillage the weak, and rob the helping hand. There's sickness and death, their water's no good, there's agony in every breath, Still they are strong, they fight to live on, to change the powers that be·

Sweet Sudan, can't you see, He'll never leave you, Sweet Sudan, just believe, Don't Give Up, Don't Give Up Now, Sudan, I can hear your heartbeat· Sudan, I can feel your pain, HE said Sudan, I will never leave you, I'll come and take you to the Promised Land·

They rolled up their sleeves, laid down their lives, to help the people still their cries, wanted to be HIS hands and HIS feet, love conquers all disease·

Sweet Sudan, can't you see. He'll never leave you, Sweet Sudan, just believe, don't give up, don't give up now. Sudan, I can hear your heartbeat, Sudan, I can feel your pain, HE said Sudan, I will never leave you·

I'll come and take you to the Promised Land· I'll come and take you to· the Promised Land. Ce ce ce mundo, Sudan HE hears you, Ce ce ce mundo, Sudan HE hears you· Sudan, HE can hear your heartbeat, Sudan, HE can feel your pain, HE said Sudan, HE will never leave you, Sudan, He'll come and take you to the Promised Land.

Marne has also written a beautiful song for Rebecca that you can also hear a part of at this same website.  Check it out, and let us know what you think.

Thank you all for your encouragement!
