Remembering My Friend Glenn Penner

Some of you may recall that Glenn Penner was a dear friend of ours from our sister ministry The Voice of the Martyrs in Canada because near the end of his life we shared with you his journey as he was dealing with his battle with cancer.

I often think about Glenn as I research what stories to post here on the blog, and I was thinking about Glenn today because it was just a little over a year ago that he went home to be with the Lord.

Glenn always had a way to make me laugh, even on the days when seeing so much pain in the world can be overwhelming. In fact, his sense of humor was a little goofy, as you can see if you go back to his blog and read through some of his posts.

But even more important, Glenn really loved the Lord and he loved serving the persecuted church. And he also really loved his family and even though he knew he probably wouldn't be around to see some of the dreams he had as a father, he continued to press on towards the goal, so that he could finish well.

As this year anniversary of Glenn's passing has just commenced, please say a pray for his wife Denita and his children.

We miss you Glenn, but glad you are home...tell the Lord we'll be coming soon.
