Every Friday we post our weekly Persecution Podcast, and this past Friday our show dealt with important prayer requests from China, Nigeria, Kenya and Central Asia. If you missed this short podcast, please click here and listen. The show is only about 6 minutes.
Here is a short synopis of each praise and/or prayer request for each nation highlighted.
Central Asia - We give thanks for those believers who received a sewing machine so they can provide for their families and so they don't have to worry as much about getting a job, since in Central Asia, they always ask if a person is a Christian and if it turns out they are a Christian, they don't get hired. Be inspired by the faith of these women and pray for their continued endurance and blessing.
Kenya - Pray for Christians in Kenya, who are increasingly subject to harm at the hands of al-Shabaab militants from Somalia. Pray for the parents who recently lost their children in these attacks.
Nigeria - At least Twenty-two students were shot dead or stabbed at a Federal Polytechnic University in northeastern Nigeria in Adamawa state Oct. 2 by suspected Boko Haram militants. Some reports say over forty students were murdered by Boko Haram. Please pray for the families of the lost and also for the members of Boko Haram to come to faith in Jesus Christ.
China - Pray for those involved in a digital Bible project. Digital music players are loaded with audio New Testaments, portions of the Old Testament, VOM books and hymns.
