Live Blogging Todd on JPA
Janet continues to keep her radio show on the frontlines of the persecution war. Today she hosted Todd Nettleton, Director of News Services for VOM and the following is what they discussed.
Janet opens the segment by reminding her audience why she continues to talk about persecution. She wants to quicken the church and remind us about missions.
She talks to Todd about NRB and the Prisoner Alert system. Both Janet and Todd will be at the National Religious Broadcasters convention, coming up soon.
The persecuted often ask for prayer and when they get a letter from a person, they know they are being prayed for. This is one reason why the prisoner alert is so vital and important. If you haven't mailed a letter recently, please check it out. It's easy, won't take much time and will make a huge difference to those being persecuted and imprisoned.
Janet brings up the whole issue with Google and China. Todd says that China has hired 35,000 people to track email and searches through Google.
Todd discusses what happened in India recently. Intense persecution is happening in India and two years ago two girls (16 & 18 years) were asked to deny Christ as they stood in front of 500 radical Hindus. They would not deny Christ, and turn to Hinduism. The girls parents stopped giving them food, but then the Christians brought them food.
When they would speak, the other would pray. These girls were excited to serve Jesus and Todd said they always have a smile on their faces.
Janet asked about the three Sunday School teachers in Indonesia. This week their appeal was denied....again. Todd said it looks like these women will end up spending their three years in prison.
Todd reported that the women are being used to minister to others. This is great news.
