Libya Releases Pair Accused of Proselytizing
The Christian Broadcasting Network reported yesterday the good news that Libya has released a South Korean Christian pastor and a businessman on Sunday, who had been accused of proselytizing in the Muslim country.
The two men had been in custody since June. The pastor was arrested for bringing in materials for missionary work and the crime of the businessman was financing the pastor's activities.
The CBN report goes on to say, "Foreign Ministry spokesman Kim Young-sun said the dispute between the two countries was settled on Friday when Lee Sang-deuk, a lawmaker who is the brother of South Korea's president, met with Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi".
