INDONESIA: Muslims Intensify Attacks on Christians

A few weeks ago I mentioned that Indonesia was one of the countries that I have on my permanent prayer list.  This week I want to ask you all to join me in keeping Indonesia in your prayers, especially as attacks on Christians intensify.

On October 1st, a gang of Islamic Jihadists carrying knives set a roadblock for a bus in the city of Poso, on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. Once the bus stopped, the Muslim group proceeded to force five passengers out of the vehicle. The militants then viciously stabbed 20-year-old Jelin, a passenger from the Christian city of Toraja, who was later hospitalized for serious knife wounds sustained on his back. The attack was interrupted when police arrived at the scene.

Before the day was over, a Muslim mob set ablaze a Sulawesi church under construction, and two bomb blasts were also reported in Poso.
