Doing Hard Time for God

Have you ever thought about doing hard time for God?  I was thinking about that today as I read through the news on persecution.  Then I thought about the followers of Christ we read about in the Scripture.  Paul, Peter, James, John, Stephen, and all the others who were imprisoned and jailed for simply testifying that they believe that Jesus is God and that He died for our sins, was buried and then rose to life on the third day!

The good news of Jesus Christ is the best news in the world and the people who believe these truths are willing to "do hard time" for God because they know beyond a shadow of doubt that He is Alive today!

I like this quote I read today from The Most Reverend Father, Archbishop Gary Beaver, of the Old Catholic Church...

Archbishop Gary stated "so many men and women are in prisons serving sentences that range from a few months to life. They are not criminals who have murdered or robbed, but Christians who have been put on trial for their faith in Christ and found guilty. It would have been easy to avoid prison by simply denying their Christian faith. These brothers and sisters in Christ are literally "doing hard time for God." (More)

What are you willing to do hard time for?
