Did Pastor Dmitry Shestakov Renounce His Appeal?

Pastordmitry_2 Earlier today I was thinking about one of the prisoners we have highlighted here on this blog a few weeks ago. You may remember Pastor Dmitry Shestakov as we asked you to write him while he is serving in prison.

Well, today I wanted to update you a little bit on him. In fact, Janet Parshall even mentioned him today on her show because what is happening to him is unbelievable...especially to those who know him.

The issue at hand is whether or not Pastor Dmitry (also known as David) was forced to renounce his appeal. You may recall that he was arrested earlier this year for being an "imposter". He was then sentenced to work in a labor camp.

Today WorldNetDaily is reporting on this story and they quote Todd Nettleton, director of media development for VOM as saying "This is a government that says they give their citizens religious freedom, but that is clearly not the case."

The bottom line is that this whole thing is suspicious to everyone and there are concerns about Pastor Dmitry's health as he is only 38 years old. ( I am too, which isn't old!)

Please keep Pastor Dmitry in your prayers. And pray for the Usbek government and for all religious prisoners.

For more information you can see the story on the Forum 18 website.
