Christians to Provide Aid to Iranian Earthquake Victims

Screen shot 2012-08-14 at 3.45.07 PMA few days ago here in Southern California where I live, we experienced a few small earthquakes.  The first one took me off guard and admittedly, actually scared me a little bit.  This is saying something because I've lived in California for most of my life and earthquakes are generally something that I dismiss.

Well, as it turns out, a few days ago, there were two  earthquakes in Iran and unfortunately they were not as small as the one I sat through.

According to Mission Network News there was a 6.3 and then a 6.4 earthquake, which killed approximately 300 people.  Sadly, the death toll is expected to rise.

The good news is that help is on the way and that help is coming from Christian relief agencies.  Mission Network News has asked us all to pray for the following:

In the meantime, we encourage you to pray that God would minister to the hurting families in the region. Ask God to position Christians strategically to be able to share Jesus with the suffering. Also, pray that many would begin searching for truth during this time of uncertainty.

Please take a minute right now to pray for Iran and for the Lord to use this horrible event to bring people to Himself.  Thank you.
