Christian Persecution Carnival
Thank you all for joining us this week for our carnival. We missed last week, but we are back this week with some great entries from our faithful bloggers.
My hope is that as you read through these entries you will feel even a greater love for the persecuted brethren.
We begin our carnival with a post from Unreconstructed called Christian Schools in Northern Iraq which talks about how Dr. George Grant established the School of the Medes for Kurds in Northern Iraq.
Our second piece is from Religion en Revolucion who has written a post called A religious leader in Cuba arrested and repressed. Pastor Bernardo de Quesada was arrested the night of August 11th as he was conducting an evangelistic crusade in Santa Bárbara, Santiago de Cuba. He was taken from there to the Department of State Security in that city where he remained being questioned until 7:30 A. M. of the following day.
Our third entry comes from Anna Venger who writes a post called Religious Persecution Around the World . Despite the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, there are many places in this world that do not allow dissenting religious views.
Cindy from Inspirational Korner gives us another entry this week titled Christians Under Attack in which Cindy shares a new website she found that is about Christian persecution, and also talks about a China church house that was recently destroyed.
Joy also focuses on China for her post this week called Counting the Cost in China which can be found at Counting the Cost. Joy writes, "A post on why learning about persecuted Christians is meaninful to me and a news article about a Chinese journalist who recently lost his job for his faith in Jesus. "
Our next entry is from the blog Christian, Think! called Persecuted and Comfort in which we read an imaginary addition to Pilgrim's Progress where Christian interviews the comfortable Christian and the Persecuted believer. If you love Pilgrim's Progress you will definitely love this post.
Next is our entry from Prayer Blog and Prayer Requests who has written a post called Pastor Richard Wurmbrand which discusses how he was "a prayer warrior on behalf of the persecuted church".
And our final entry is from Jan who blogs at Counted Worthy. She writes a post called Trust God Through Trials in which she shares about Romans 8:28 and answers the question "What is perfect faith?"
Have a great weekend and restful Labor Day!
