Our good friends at China Aid are carrying a story from Radio Free Asia about the recent attacks on Christians who were arrested, beaten and then released for their testimony for Christ. Just as we have read in the Scriptures, Christians were imprisoned then and beaten. You may recall these passages from the bible.

China Aid is reporting on the recent arrest of house church members, including a four year old boy that was also taken from the church during a worship service. Mercifully, the boy and the mother were released, as were some of the other house church members. However, the police have requested a lot of money from the church members in order to help get the others released. And God has been faithful and helped this church.

GUANGDONG--On the morning of May 2, Guangzhou Public Security officials forced Liangren House Church’s landlord to terminate the church’s rent, sealing and locking the doors with an iron chain. Guards blocked the congregation from entering the facility, forcing them to worship outdoors on Sunday morning. In order to save another landlord from being harassed by the PSB, the church plans to move next week’s worship service outdoors to Guangzhou People’s Park.

XINJIANG—Separated by the glass wall, Gulinuer and Alimujiang’s two sons stared at their father for the first time in over two years. On April 20, under international pressure thanks to years of legal advocacy and raising public awareness, the Xinjiang Kashgar Prison authorities allowed the Uyghur Christian prisoner to meet with his wife, children, mother, and sister for a brief 15 minute conversation—the first personal contact the family has had with Alim since he was first detained in January 2008.

Today we have some wonderful news coming from our friends at China Aid, concerning a new follower in Jesus Christ. Thank you to all of you who are praying for China and who continue to sound the alarm about the human rights abuses in that nation. God is hearing our prayers and calling more people to Himself.

We have good news from China Aid today, as they are reporting that on April 17th, Pastor Dou was released a little bit early from his one year Re-education Through Labor Sentence, which began in June 2009.

Our friends from China Aid are asking for prayer for Chinese prisoner Hu Jia who is seriously ill and needs medical care. Please also pray for his wife and all of those involved in making the decisions regarding his release for treatment. Please also pray for the salvation of Hu Jia as he is a Buddhist.
