A very interesting article appears on The Parliament website today concerning statements made by the "controversial" Slovakian deputy Anna Zaborska at a recent conference dealing with religious freedom.

This morning I was talking to a friend who was telling me they were going to the Philippines soon and that got me thinking about how the Lord has used Filipino friends in my life to take me to church when I was younger. I also have a wonderful Filipino Christian neighbor who I absolutely love, and the culture of the Philippines is something I also love. So as I was thinking about all of the blessings that I have been given, as a result of my friends from that nation, I had to share with you all that sadly, there is a part of the Philippines called Mindanao that is suffering from Muslim persecution.

Compass Direct and China Aid are both reporting the good news that Wusiman Yiming has been released after two years in prison. Here's part of the China Aid press release:

With Thanksgiving coming up in a few days, the media has been covering the upcoming state dinner that President Obama is hosting at the Whitehouse, and it has not gone unnoticed by many of us who are watching and wondering what he is going to do about persecution that is taking place in India.

Everyday as I read through stories of Christian persecution, I am amazed at the faith of believers all over the world. I am especially moved by the fact, and it is truly a FACT, that if a person leaves Islam to follow Jesus Christ, in many cases it is a death sentence. So as you read this, consider whether or not you'd follow Jesus if you knew you could die for it. Thankfully this story is good news for our brother in Christ.
