The following news from Compass Direct is heartbreaking. However, this story tells us the pressure and the stress of living in a Muslim country where being a Christian is very difficult.

Last week we asked you to write Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani while he is awaiting the fate of his life. I'm happy to report that 150 more letters of support have been written to Pastor Youcef in this past week! Thank you all so much!

Christians around the world will unite on Nov. 13 for the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Although we should always remember those in chains, IDOP is set aside as a special day to focus our prayers on the thousands of Christians around the world who are persecuted and martyred for their Christian faith.

I asked for strength—and God gave me difficulties to make me strong.I asked for wisdom—and God gave me problems to solve.I asked for prosperity—and God gave me brain and brawn to work.I asked for courage—and God gave me dangers to overcome.I asked for love—and God gave me opportunities.I received nothing I wanted—I received everything I needed.My prayer has been answered.
