A few days ago we shared with you about the prayer controversy at Exeter High School and today sadly, we have another report on the new developments at the high school. Due to pressure from Americans United for Separation of Church and State, the Freedom from Religion Foundation and the Anti-Defamation League the school board has caved to their pressure and are not even allowing the students to vote on whether or not they want a prayer. Instead the school is going to allow a "moment of silence". Read more here.

On May 21, members of the Indonesia Christian Church (GKI) visited the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to report that local officials had stopped construction of the GKI’s building in Bogor City, Indonesia, and sealed the building, according to the Indonesian news site kompas.com and The Voice of the Martyrs contacts.

Today Mission Network News has an encouraging story about how Christians have helped some suffering Christians in India. India is a nation where Christians compromise a very small percentage of the population and so the help that was provided to these believers is so great because now the gospel can go ever farther.

We've covered numerous churches in recent days that have been either set on fire, or burglarized or vandalized. Today we have a sad story about a Catholic Church in the Los Angeles area, that has been vandalized with the number 666 being scrawled in the kitchen, a knife being stabbed into a picture of the Virgin of Guadalupe and then someone had defecated in the sanctuary.

Every time I even hear the word rape, I have to admit that I cringe. I hate the word rape and even more, rape itself, so anytime I read a story about one of my sisters in Christ being persecuted by being raped, I can't help but cry. And yet, we even see rape in the scriptures and it grieves the Lord. This type of violation is horrific and so I urge you to pray for the girl mentioned in this story, even though we do not have her name. Pray for her family, safety, healing and also for her attackers to come to know Christ.
