Over the weekend my husband and I had the opportunity to attend our very first VOM Meeting. And I have to tell you that I had the best time ever! I had the opportunity to meet the VOM representative, and record his presentation - which I will do my best to post later this week and also meet some very cool brothers and sisters who care about the persecuted church.

It is finished; another VOM conference is now in the past. We will never gather like this again. May the time spent this weekend, the challenges given and the hearts touched, echo in eternity.

Gary Witherall, whose wife Bonnie was martyred in Lebanon, chose as his text a passage from the gospel of John, the passage where the woman breaks the expensive perfume bottle over Jesus' feet.

Dr. Tom White, the Executive Director of The Voice of the Martyrs, decided to focus his time during the Sunday service on Americans who are living out the call to lay down their lives for Christ.

It's hard to believe that the final day of the VOM National Mission Conference is here! This morning promises to be an awesome time of worship and encouragement, followed by a special time of communion together.

"That was a great time in our lives." --Iraqi Christians talking about their time in jail because of their Christian witness.

Our speaker from India began by comparing India to the U.S. "You think India is a democracy, just like here," he said. "So when you hear about persecution, you think, 'How can this happen?' We are asking that question too. How can this happen?"

We cannot imagine the hardship in North Korea, yet our brother who works with North Koreans tells us that the church there is growing.
