This is just a reminder that this Sunday, November 14th is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.

"Prayer is the pulse of life; by it the doctor can tell what is the condition of the heart. The sin of prayerlessness is a proof for the ordinary Christian or minister that the life of God in the soul is in deadly sickness and weakness." - Andrew Murray"praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints" - Ephesians 6:18

Romans 12:14

We have much to pray for this week and I'd like to add another prayer request for tomorrow, September 11th. We all know what is happening with Terry Jones who is now saying that he will not burn koran's tomorrow, even though he changed his mind yesterday after saying he wasn't going to then. But how many of us have focused this much on the 3000 lives that were lost as a result of 9/11 nine years ago. Let's pray for Terry Jones and his church, but let us also pray for the families of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Let's also pray for America, our troops and government.

Since Friday's are the days we focus on helping you to pray more specifically for the persecuted church, I wanted to refresh your memory about praying for the restricted nations.

TANZANIA -- Evangelist Arrested in Zanzibar -- Compass Direct NewsAccording to Compass Direct News, in early August Tanzanian security agents arrested Peter Masanja, an evangelist in Zanzibar's southeastern town of Paje. Earlier this year, Peter invited members of the Pentecostal Church in Zanzibar to hold church activities in his home. This angered local Muslims, who believed he was planning to establish a church on his land. His wife grew concerned after Peter failed to return home one day. After searching for several days, his wife learned Peter had been arrested and imprisoned. Local pastors tried to meet with prison authorities about Peter's arrest, but were told that the person in charge of the prison was away on business. Pray that Peter will be released. Pray also for his family, that their faith in Christ will grow stronger during these difficult days. Ask God to equip Christians in Tanzania through His grace to demonstrate His love and forgiveness amid great opposition.Psalm 91:1-5
