Eighteen-year-old Mohan Masih was working at the brick kilns in Pakistan when he consulted his pastor about other work opportunities. Mohan’s pastor suggested that he sell Christian literature to brick kiln workers as a way to spread the gospel and make a living.

Blessed are those who are being persecuted for righteousness sake. I always remember these precious words from the living book of life when I hear of how our Chinese brothers and sisters are being arrested for simply printing the Bible and other Christian material.

Imagine with me for a moment if you were sitting at home and minding your own business celebrating Easter with some friends of yours from church, and then out of nowhere the police barged into your home and took your bibles and other Christian materials. How would you feel? What would you do? Unfortunately, this is something we don't have to imagine for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Uzbekistan because it happened to them only a few weeks ago. Here is a shortened version of a report from The Voice of the Martyrs about what happened.

One of my favorite mission sites, Mission Network News, mentions a response from The Voice of the Martyrs very own Todd Nettleton, concerning the plight of Myanmar refugees who are being marginalized.

Once upon a time, a Christian did a good deed, and then they were thrown in jail for doing that good deed. This is exactly what happened to Benjamin Dhunigana and John Dai in Western Bhutan.

If injustice bothers you than this story will definitely bother you. The Voice of the Martyrs is reporting that Pastor Gong Shengliang of South China Church has been mercilessly beaten while in prison. The attack happened on March 21st and was so bad that the Pastor has experienced hearing loss and couldn't move his mouth for at least three days.

Today I wanted to start out our week sharing with you some of the latest news from Vietnam and the attack on the house church that I mentioned late last week in this post. According to The Voice of the Martyrs sources, "Believers were making repairs to the house where they meet for worship when attackers mercilessly stormed the building. Christians were seriously beaten with nightsticks, numchucks and electric cattle prods. Among those attacked were 10 pastors, youth group members, and other house-church members." (church pictured)
