Todd Nettleton on JPA

Earlier today Todd Nettleton, Director of News Services for The Voice of the Martyrs,  appeared on Janet Parshall's America to discuss the latest on Christian persecution.  Here is a rundown on their conversation.

Todd and Janet discussed China and how a church has been bulldozed during Christmas time.  The government wants the property where the church stands, but no one knows yet what will happen with the property.

In South Eastern China the government closed down a church and told the Chinese believers, a group of 600, that they could no longer meet in this building.  The government put up steel doors on this church.  As a result the Christians left the meeting place, the church grew, and VOM just found out that the church is meeting back in that same building and the church is even larger!  Praise God for His awesome favor!

There is also a new estimate of about 130 million Christians in China, which includes 20 million Catholics.  The estimate comes from a leader in the Chinese government.  Todd and Janet speculated that the number of Christians may even be higher because the government is known to deflate  previous numbers.

Next year the Bibles Unbound program will celebrate it's first anniversary!

Todd and Janet also talked about some of the recent martyrs who have died and the growth of the church in Iran.  There are amazing stories of how Muslims are coming to know Jesus Christ in Iran.

Janet will probably be posting some of the audio from the interview on her website later today.
