Thank God for Released Prisoners

In the past few weeks, I have been thankful and very excited because two persecuted brothers from China and Pakistan have been released from prison. On January 19, Shahbaz Kaka was released after serving six years of a life sentence, and on February 5, Liu Fenggang was released after serving three years in prison.

I rejoice that these precious brothers have freedom and are no longer living under harsh conditions in prison because of their belief in Jesus Christ. Yet, I felt reminded there were others still in chains that we need to keep praying for and writing letters on their behalf to the governments persecuting them. Without a doubt, the letters we send to imprisoned Christians make an immense difference. Write a letter of encouragement to a believer in prison today and pray God watches over them as they suffer because of their faith in Him. Thank God for the release of Shahbaz Kaka and Liu Fenggang and ask Him to give them boldness, as they continue their faith in Him.
