This past weekend we heard some sad news that took place in Illinois. Pastor Fred Winters, the pastor of the First Baptist Church, was shot and killed during an 8 a.m. service Sunday, and the attacker and two members of the congregation suffered knife wounds in the attack.
This sad news rocked the news on Sunday morning. Fortunately, as of this morning, we now know that a suspect has been charged in that pastors murder. Terry J. Sedlacek was charged with aggravated battery, as well as first degree murder in the shooting death of Pastor Winters.
Sadly, it is suspected that Sedlacek has lyme disease that may have led to mental illness and the shooting of the pastor. At this time there is no confirmed reason for the shooting.
