Some Christians Not Helping?

This morning as I was going through the news I came across this "opinion" letter sent to The Daily News Record, and I thought it would be interesting for you to see, because apparently some Christians are not helping.  Here's the letter in its entirety.

What has happened to Christian people? Some act like, if you are not a Christian, that they don't want anything to do with you.

I have noticed this and feel very strongly about it. However, to  only care and help the people that are Christian is wrong. God didn't turn his back on any of his people.

I know some people who have been sick. Did Christian people go and see them? I have noticed the only time when some Christian people go to see you is when someone dies. And that is wrong.

If you are a true Christian, then you need to show people that you are a true Christian. There are people here that, if you are not a Christian, the first thing they will say is, "I'm sorry I can't help you."  That tells me they aren't real Christians.

I don't go to church, but I help people out all the time.

So you may be thinking, what does this have to do with Christian persecution?  Good question.  It doesn't have anything to do directly, but it does indirectly because it's just a reminder that people are watching the Church.  And some people, like this dear woman, apparently have never heard of the ministry of The Voice of the Martyrs, who DO help people who are not Christians.

In fact, I'd like to ask you to sign up for our FREE VOM Newsletter and tell a few friends to sign up also.  The magazine is completely FREE and it comes once a month, and it's a GREAT magazine that will encourage you, and equip you with the ability to pray and minister to the persecuted church.

Merry Christmas!
