Somali Teenage Girl Shot to Death for Embracing Christ

Every day I am both inspired and grieved by the stories I read of fellow believers who die for their faith in Christ.  I'm inspired because it shows the reality of their faith, the reality of what God's word clearly teaches, and also the reality of the hate the world has towards Christ.

I feel grieved because the loss of life, because of a belief, is a tragedy.  However, I do rejoice because I know that these dear ones who are martyred for their faith in Christ, have rewards awaiting them in heaven and a joyful home coming that we can't even imagine.

Such is the case with Nurta Mohamed Farah who was only 17 when she died last week.  She was the victim of an apparent "honor killing" because she came to faith in Jesus and left Islam.
