Salvation Comes to Papua New Guinea

Great news today from New Tribes Missions...  It's things like this that I read that warm my heart and make me want to keep telling you all about the good news of Jesus Christ.  Wahoo!

GOROKA, Papua New Guinea: Though missionaries are still in the early stages of evangelistic Bible teaching, Maki has already come to realize that Jesus paid his sin debt.

The Bena man kept repeating "Manaka" (which means "It is true") as he and missionary Rich Foster checked a Bible lesson about the Law.

As Maki worked with Rich in the translation and preparation of Bible lessons for the Bena Bena people, he put the pieces together and something clicked in his heart and mind. God gave him an understanding of the Gospel and he gave Rich a clear testimony of his faith in Christ.

This week other Benas will hear the lesson about the Law.

Pray that Maki will now grow in his faith, and pray that more Benas will understand the salvation message and believe.
