Prisoner Alert: Write Yang Rongli

Last week we asked you to take the time to write Ilmurad Nurliev, who has been in prison over 370 days,  and I am very happy to tell you that 8 more letters were written!!!  Praise the Lord for your faithfulness to act!!  A big thank you to all of you who did write!  Thank you, thank you, thank YOU!  The week before we had 7 letters  written and this past week we beat that record by ONE.  One more letter written to a prisoner can make a huge difference!

Today I'd like you to write Pastor Yang Rongli who has been in prison for 650 days.

On Nov. 25, 2009, Pastor Yang Rongli and four other Linfen-Fushan church leaders from Shanxi Province were sentenced to criminal detention for two to seven years, according to China Aid Association. The five church leaders were accused of "gathering people to disturb the public order," because they organized a prayer rally on Sept. 14, the day after 400 military police raided the church's grounds. During the raid, more than 30 believers were seriously wounded and 17 buildings were destroyed.

The good news is that Pastor Yang is supposed to get out of prison in 2017.  The bad news is that he has to be in prison for 6 more years.
