Prisoner Alert: Imran Ghafur

In our ongoing effort to alert you to the suffering of Christians in prison, every Tuesday we've been highlighting a Christian who is in prison for their faith.  Last week we highlighted Asia Bibi who has been in prison since 2009.  I'm very happy to share with you that 126 new letters were written last week to Asia! Praise the Lord for you who took the time to encourage Asia.

This week we would like you to take a few minutes and write to Imran Ghafur who has been imprisoned since 2009.

Imran is currently serving a life sentence in prison for allegedly intentionally burning pages of the Quran.  He was severly beaten and his case is being appealed.

In May of 2011 it was reported that Imran is thankful for everyone who has been praying for him, and he is using his time in prison to study the Word of God.
