Pray for Our Persecuted Brethren in Restricted Nations

This week I have been thinking of the phrase, “what you see is what you get.” Most of us have heard these words used in different contexts. When you look at me for example, my life, the way I conduct myself, you can probably see what I am about. You can see a glimpse of who I am.

This got me thinking about our brothers and sisters facing persecution in restricted countries. When we look at restricted countries, on the surface they do not openly show their intolerance of Christians. They mask their true colors. I heard a brother who works in restricted countries describe some of them as having an “open appearance,” but when you look underneath you see extremism.

This realization has challenged me to pray even more for our brothers and sisters in the persecuted family. When I read about our brethren in restricted nations, my desire is for God to draw more people to uplift these believers who face beatings, torture and death because of their faith in Jesus Christ. I encourage you to pray for our persecuted family and share their courage with your friends and family.
